If you're looking for interesting, challenging, meaningful work with a team of dedicated professionals, then we're looking for you!

Our mission is to preserve and raise families' living standards with powerful, cutting-edge software based on insights from the field of economics. Our flagship product, MaxiFi, is the most powerful and comprehensive financial planning tool available to both households and financial planning professionals.

Software Engineer

We are looking for a software engineer who is a detail-oriented, highly motivated, responsible team player focused on providing value by delivering high quality, accurate tools with features our customers need. We rely on these qualities in all of our employees because we are a small company where each person on the team is critical to our success and helps shape our future.

Our products primarily reside on AWS and are written in a variety of languages and frameworks. You will be expected to work across the platform on different projects, and in a single day might be front-end programming in Javascript, moving to dev ops, then working in an object-oriented language in one of the back-end services. Demonstrated experience working with a variety of languages, frameworks, and databases is therefore critical, as is a thirst for continual learning.

We are open to a wide variety of backgrounds and experience levels, preferably full time but are willing to consider a half-time position. Our company is fully remote so you can be located anywhere, though we are clustered around Providence RI and Madison WI. Salary commensurate with experience. We are not able to sponsor applicants for work visas at this time. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Features will include highly complex Federal and State tax and benefit programs as well as more open-ended, end-user features such as reports, data entry interfaces and calculators. The analyst will also be responsible for planning and executing tests to ensure proper implementation of the features and tax and benefit programs in the software.
